Global Blockchain Exchange (GBX) Completes Sale Process to Mine Digital

The sale of GBX was part of a strategic repositioning by GSX Group to focus on it’s core competencies within digital securities markets. 

29 January 2021: Following our announcement of 13 January 2021 Global Blockchain Exchange (GBX) – Sale to Mine Digital – GBX, as part of strategic repositioning, the GSX Group has sold GBX to Mine Digital, an Australian based digital asset exchange, in order to focus on its core competencies within digital securities markets.

As of today (29 January 2021) the GBX-DAX (Digital Asset Exchange) is now closed, with all withdrawals being halted, and customer accounts closed. You can find a fully updated FAQ on the sale process Here

What has happened to GBX?

GBX has been sold to Mine Digital. Mine Digital will operate via their own platform technology; the GBX-DAX (Digital Asset Exchange) has been closed.

What is happening to my account?

All GBX customer accounts have been closed.  Customers will be required to go to Mine Digital to activate their new accounts.  Information on account opening with Mine Digital can be found here: https://minedigital.exchange/faq/how-to-open-your-mine-account/ 

What is happening to my tokens/fiat?

Tokens and fiat that had not been withdrawn from GBX customer accounts have been transferred to Mine Digital.  Customers will be required to open an account with Mine Digital to be allocated their token and/or fiat balances on their Mine Digital account.

Post closing of the GBX-DAX on 29 January 2021 de minimus token and fiat balances below GBX’s minimum withdrawal amounts will be converted to GBP and will be donated to a Gibraltar charity; FAQs – GBX.

What about STACS and GATE tokens?

Following feedback from our community, we have minted an ERC-20 GATE token: Ethereum Transaction Hash (Txhash) Details | Etherscan.  The ERC-20 GATE token will be the sole utility token of the GSX Group; uniting our community back under one utility token.

What happens to STACS and GATE Mainnet tokens?

STACS and GATE Mainnet tokens ceased to be utility tokens of the GSX Group on 13 January 2021 Global Blockchain Exchange (GBX) – Sale to Mine Digital – GBX; the ERC-20 GATE token is the new utility token of the GSX Group.

Where will the ERC-20 GATE token be listed?

Mine Digital will list ERC-20 GATE tokens; they intend to do so during March 2021.  The GSX Group intends for ERC-20 GATE tokens to be listed on other exchanges.  More information will be provided in respect of this matter during this Q1 2021.

What about ERC-20 GATE token utility?

ERC-20 GATE tokens will have a number of utilities within the GSX Group’s digital securities markets strategy, including but not limited to, on-chain fees, staking and rewards.  Full details of ERC-20 GATE token utility will be provided within the GATE Token Whitepaper that will be released during Q1 2021.

What about the ERC-20 GATE token swap?

The total global supply of ERC-20 GATE tokens is 900 million; the same as the total circulating global supply of STACS and GATE Mainnet tokens.

STACS and GATE Mainnet tokens will be swapped to ERC-20 GATE tokens via a 1:1 swap ratio, and will processed via a combination of airdrop or transfer to Mine Digital summarised as follows:

1. If you hold STACS tokens outside of the GBX-DAX in an ERC-20 wallet, no action is required; ERC-20 GATE tokens have already been airdropped into your ERC-20 wallet.

2. If you held STACS tokens on the GBX-DAX and did not withdraw them, your ERC-20 GATE tokens (issued via a 1:1 swap ratio in relation to the STACS tokens that you held on the GBX-DAX) have been transferred to Mine Digital. 3. If you held GATE Mainnet tokens on the GBX-DAX and did not withdraw them, your ERC-20 GATE tokens (issued via a 1:1 swap ratio to the GATE Mainnet tokens that you held on the GBX-DAX) have been transferred to Mine Digital. How will I know how many tokens have been transferred to Mine Digital?

Will I see my ERC-20 GATE tokens on my Mine Digital account prior to Mine Digital listing ERC-20 GATE tokens?

No you will not.  ERC-20 GATE token functionality will be activated when Mine Digital list ERC-20 GATE tokens on their exchange, which is planned for March 2021. 

What happens if I want to access my ERC-20 GATE tokens prior to them being listed on Mine Digital’s exchange?

Contact Mine Digital customer support at and post verification they will transmit your ERC-20 GATE tokens to you (to your ERC-20 wallet).
